Good News for Homeowners! Check out how the market is doing in North Carolina! Posted March 1st, 2007 N.C. Existing Home Sales Hold Steady in New Year
(Greensboro, NC)— Despite the national housing market slowdown, North Carolina existing home sales for January 2007 started off the New Year fairly steady with a 2 percent decrease in unit sales when compared to the same time period a year ago.
According to statistics compiled by the North Carolina Association of REALTORS®, 8,354 units were sold in January. Total sales dollars for the month were $1,794,865,688 and the average existing home sales price was up 4 percent to $214,851.
Leading the state in positive growth by posting the strongest increase in total dollar sales were Pinehurst (41 percent), Greenville (33 percent) and Jacksonville (30 percent). The largest price appreciation was seen in Greenville at 32 percent.
